IMovie Tips
1. Gather your components:
Photos: use photobooth on computer OR find pictures online(choose original image) save original images to desktop THEN drag to iPhoto
Video: use computer or flip camera, import into iMovie--you will be prompted to do this when you open an
iMovie project
Music: Thumb Drive to computer, or find online and put into iTunes.
2. Put components into your iMovie project
1. Video--easier if you put this in first
2. Photos--photos can be dropped into place before or after the video OR you can clip video if you want to
insert into the middle of video
3. Narration-Once the visual component is finished THEN you can add narration and
4. Music--add music last, and the program will automatically cut music to fit the project--If you want to
keep the music all the way through, but want it to get softer during video or narration see the
“ducking” option.

Now you can work on a variety of changes-timing, sound quality, volume, etc.

Export via Quick Time
